Still not hitting anyone!

On Friday Jake came out of pre-school with another “I’m a Star” sticker proudly on display.

Ellie also had a sticker which she, again, claimed was given to her by her friend Rachel, who, once again, wasn’t available for comment. I’m starting to get a little suspicious about this…

The head teacher was there so this time I was able to find out what Jake’s sticker was actually for. Apart from ‘not hitting anyone’, of course.

He’d ‘read’ the story of The Three Little Pigs so well that she felt he deserved a special sticker! And he’d ‘read’ it not just to her as I first thought, but to the whole class!

It is 1 of his favourite stories; although I suspect he sides with his favourite character, the big bad wolf…

He was surprisingly downbeat about this; he seemed almost embarrassed! He kept telling us “Ellie did it too”.

I reckon he was annoyed that his “I didn’t hit anyone” cover story had been blown: he’s such a boy!

The main thing is that not only are they benefitting from pre-school – learning, making friends –  but they’re also enjoying it: here they are actually running to get there!

    • Yes, I’m sure that makes a big difference. It must be very different for a child on their own. It’s not always easy, but for some reason they’ve been much better this term (they were there just for a few hours & a few days per week last term). Thanks 🙂

  1. yay!! i still love stickers myself ( i am sure that wont surprise you!) it sounds like both Jake and Ellie are doing a fantastic job of settling into pre-school 🙂
